Senior Security Officer

Job Overview:
The Senior security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Officer is accountable for leading and coordinating the security risk management function across the delegation, providing expert technical advice and operational support to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Strengthen security management structures, provide timely security advice, monitor and analyze the security environment, respond to security incidents, deliver security training, and liaise with partners on security management.

Required Qualifications:
A Relevant University Degree in Security Management or related fields, advanced training in security risk management, and membership in recognized security associations.

Educational Background:
A Relevant University Degree (Security Management, Risk Management, International Relations, Political Science, Criminology, Peace & Conflict Studies, Disaster Management, Humanitarian Studies). A master's degree is a desired advantage.

Experience:
5 years or more working experience in active security management role with a humanitarian organization in the region.

Languages:
Fluently spoken and written English. Good command of another IFRC official language (French, Spanish or Arabic) is preferred.

Additional Notes:
The position requires regular travel to field locations and across the delegation footprint.
