Job Description
Job Overview:
The Sales Area Manager (SAM) is responsible for driving sales performance, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and energy utilization across 10 rural communities in 3 states.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive customer acquisition, onboarding, and service activation across assigned communities; Deliver on connections, revenue, consumption, and ARPU targets; Execute community-specific sales strategies; Promote Welight’s energy solutions; Identify and develop new demand opportunities; Lead and manage Commercial Agents; Provide hands-on onboarding and performance review; Support recruitment and capability development; Build a high-performing sales culture; Build relationships with community leaders; Drive community buy-in; Proactively resolve community concerns; Coordinate day-to-day field sales activities; Conduct regular field visits; Organize sales briefings; Track sales performance and market insights; Ensure compliance with Welight policies.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, or related field; Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales, field operations, or community-based distribution; Proven experience managing field sales teams; Strong knowledge of rural markets; Ability to travel extensively; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in smartphone-based reporting.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, or related field

Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales, field operations, or community-based distribution

Languages:
English
