Job Overview: We are seeking a driven and results-orientated sales/business development officer to identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth. You will be the face of the company to prospects, turning leads into long-term customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, social media, and market research. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure retention and upsell opportunities. Sales Presentations & Pitching: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to client needs. Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to close deals while achieving company targets. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new markets and product improvements. Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipeline using CRM tools, track progress, and provide accurate sales forecasts. Collaboration: Work with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met and delivered. Reporting: Submit weekly/monthly reports on sales activity, revenue, and KPIs to management.
Required Qualifications: HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 2 years in sales, business development, or a B2B client-facing role. Experience in engineering field. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong networking and relationship-building ability. Target-driven with proven record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce. Self-motivated, confident, and able to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel for client meetings. A valid driver’s licence is a plus.
