Job Description
Job Overview:
The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree or recently graduated to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset. Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements. Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders. Applying Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained. Assigned and work with a technical team to foster exposure to subsea technology and products. When required and when opportunity is available, you may be deployed to offshore locations to broaden your experience in subsea production. Exposed to various business units to develop your business acumen (finance, commercial, project management etc).
Required Qualifications:
Have graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree certificate in either Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, production or Software Engineering from an Accredited University within the last 2 years. Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3 out of 5.0 or the equivalent from the graduating university. Be fluent in oral and written English. Have the legal right to work in Nigeria without restrictions. Be smart, have good communication skills (written, speaking, listening), right attitude, right mindset, right character and eager to learn. Be expected to be able to think, be proactive, innovative, and creative. Have completed the mandatory national Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria within the last 2 years.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production or Software Engineering from an Accredited University.
Experience:
Recent graduates or students pursuing a degree in relevant fields.
Languages:
Fluent in oral and written English
