Job Overview:
The director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Senior Director of Facilities, Buildings & Grounds, and Capital Outlay provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for all physical assets, infrastructure systems, and capital development initiatives at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive facilities strategy; oversee operations and maintenance for 11 buildings; ensure reliability of critical systems; manage capital outlay processes; direct care of public spaces; maintain compliance with regulations; lead a diverse team; collaborate with various divisions.

Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills typically obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field; 10+ years of experience managing large facilities portfolios; demonstrated leadership of major capital projects; strong financial acumen; exceptional communication skills.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, facilities management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:
10+ years of progressively responsible experience managing large, complex facilities portfolios.

Languages:
English
