Accountant

Job Overview:
Newpath is a fast growing company, currently in Enugu, Asaba and Onicha, still expanding into new zones and diversifying into food production with the Biggest bakery in Asaba Delta state. The Company needs an accountant for the bakery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain proper accounting records for daily sales, expenses, and production costs
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts
• Manage cash flow, petty cash, and bank reconciliations
• Monitor inventory records for raw materials and finished goods
• Prepare payroll and manage statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, etc.)
• Assist with budgeting and cost control
• Support external auditors and tax consultants when required
• Ensure compliance with basic accounting and tax regulations

Required Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Ability to use accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Educational Background:
• HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Experience:
• Minimum of 2–4 years relevant work experience (experience in manufacturing or FMCG is an advantage)

Additional Notes:
• Professional qualification (ATS, ICAN in view, or similar)
• Experience handling inventory and production costing
