Job Description
Job Overview:
Quintessence Nigeria Limited is a dynamic small-to-medium retail outlet specializing in African art and craft. We pride ourselves on celebrating and promoting African heritage through unique artistic expressions. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations as we grow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Process and record daily financial transactions accurately. Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Provide regular financial reports to management and assist in strategic planning. Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Support forecasting activities and variance analysis to inform business decisions. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and company policies. Liaise with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation during audits. Collaborate with team members across departments to support financial planning and operations. Manage invoicing, payments, and expense claims efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferably a First class or Second Class upper graduate. Minimum 3 years proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within a Premium retail or Finance industry environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within a Premium retail or Finance industry environment.
Languages:
English
