Job Overview: The Senior Wealth Manager is responsible for advising affluent clients on investment strategies, managing diversified portfolios, and driving growth in assets under management.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with HNW/UHNW clients, understand clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, and liquidity needs, provide personalized wealth planning and investment advice, serve as the primary point of contact for complex financial matters. 2. Investment & Portfolio Management: Develop and manage diversified investment portfolios (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.), monitor market trends and adjust portfolios accordingly, ensure portfolios align with client objectives and risk profiles, collaborate with research and investment teams for asset allocation decisions. 3. Business Development: Acquire new high-net-worth clients and expand existing relationships, cross-sell financial products (trusts, estate planning, structured products, etc.), meet or exceed AUM growth and revenue targets, leverage networks to generate referrals and new business. 4. Financial Planning & Advisory: Provide comprehensive wealth planning (retirement, tax planning, estate planning), coordinate with legal and tax advisors where necessary, deliver long-term financial strategies tailored to client needs. 5. Risk & Compliance: Ensure all advisory activities comply with regulatory requirements, maintain accurate documentation and client records, adhere to internal risk management policies and ethical standards. 6. Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated on global financial markets, economic trends, and investment products, communicate insights and market outlooks to clients, recommend suitable investment opportunities.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred), Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or equivalent (strong advantage), Typically 7–15+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or asset management, Proven track record of managing significant AUM and client portfolios.
