Full Stack Engineer

Job Overview:
Superfan is an edtech platform dedicated to preserving and promoting African languages through a gamified, quiz-first app that engages users with African proverbs, traditions, and cultural practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize both front-end and back-end components of the Superfan platform; design and implement user-friendly interfaces; ensure responsive web design; write efficient and scalable code; debug existing software; collaborate with designers and product managers; contribute to performance optimization and implement best practices for coding and software architecture.

Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind); strong experience with Node.js/Express; expertise in PostgreSQL; experience with MongoDB and Redis; experience with PipeOps or similar deployment platforms; RESTful API design; WebSocket/real-time features; microservices architecture; experience integrating payment gateways (Monnify, Paystack, or similar) and/or blockchain/crypto payments; proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
Strong foundation in Software Development principles and best practices; excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work onsite full-time; proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments; self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
