Cost Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to manage, monitor, and optimize our product and operational costs. The ideal candidate will take a lead role in inventory valuation, landed cost computation, and margin analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze comprehensive product costing and cost structures to ensure business profitability. Compute and validate accurate landed costs for imported goods, including freight, customs duties, clearing fees, and other logistics expenses. Monitor inventory valuation and maintain high levels of cost accuracy within the accounting system. Conduct regular variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead) to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Review and reconcile import transactions and documentation to ensure regulatory and financial compliance. Collaborate closely with procurement and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization. Prepare detailed monthly cost and margin performance reports for senior management review. Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes with accurate cost projections.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in cost accounting. Strong, mandatory experience in costing and importation processes, including landed cost calculations. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern accounting/ERP software. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in cost accounting.
