Job Description
Job Overview:
The Finance and Administration Officer (F+AO) is responsible for administrating and managing the financial transactions of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with Compassionate Carbon’s finance standards and procedures, regulations, and accounting best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee field accounts payable and general ledger entries, ensure expenditures align with approved budgets, prepare financial reports, maintain organized financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, perform cash and bank reconciliations, manage petty cash, assist with administrative tasks, track project inventory, collaborate with team members, assist with audits, and communicate financial information effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; 2-5 years of progressive professional accounting experience; experience in the nonprofit sector is highly desirable; familiarity with fund accounting; professional certification or related certificate studies (CPA part 2 and above).

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:
2-5 years of progressive professional accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly with grants and donor-funded projects.
