Job Description
Job Overview:
The EHS Compliance Officer is responsible for enforcing compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations, and promoting a safe work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Enforce compliance to Health, Safety & Environment policies; ensure statutory obligations are met; conduct risk assessments; document and investigate incidents; provide EHS induction training; carry out inspections and audits; participate in developing safety guidelines; enhance compliance with ISO standards; maintain records of EHS compliance; coordinate permit systems; supervise EHS improvement activities; support efficiency improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in manufacturing; good knowledge of ISO standards; advanced knowledge of EHS practices; ability to develop and implement EHS programs; proficiency in Windows and MS Office.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
