Job Overview:
Join our Data Solutions team to create scalable spatial workflows that drive social impact, particularly in energy access projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply VIDA’s spatial analysis tools for energy access planning, improve workflows with Python and SQL, integrate new datasets, implement spatial data analysis methods, ensure documentation and communication, interact with project partners, and contribute GIS-based analytical work for energy access projects.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in energy/engineering/science with a focus on spatial data analysis, 3-5 years of experience in geospatial data analysis, 1-2 years in energy access projects, proven GIS analytical experience, proficiency in Python, excellent communication skills, experience in writing technical reports, fluency in English, and comfort with AI tools.
Educational Background:
Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or equivalent qualification in energy/engineering/science with a focus on spatial data analysis.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in geospatial data analysis and 1-2 years in energy access projects, especially in developing countries.
Languages:
Fluency in English (oral and written). French language skills are a plus.
Additional Notes:
Ability to manage competing priorities, commitment to sustainable energy access, and strong team player with good communication skills.
