Job Description
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will work with our collaborative application development, reservoir engineering, petrophysical, geosciences and business development teams. The candidate must be able to deliver result working alone and within teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess oil and gas assets. Perform, history match, EOR (waterflood etc.) and secondary recovery studies. Perform subsurface due diligence, provide insight, and support oil & gas reserve assessments. Estimate resource volumes and recoverable hydrocarbons using both probabilistic and deterministic volumetric, EURs, and recovery factors. Analyze reservoir and well performance, including: Interpret transient well tests (estimate pressures), perform RTA/PTA analysis, model material balance, and predict well performance. Perform Decline Curve Analysis, type curve, and/or trend analysis in conjunction with reserve estimations. Perform fluid property modeling (PVT analysis). Assess and implement measures to enhance reservoir data quality. Create reservoir simulation models for both compositional & black oil, and evaluate reservoir performance. Prepare concise and insightful presentations, memos, and reports for both internal and external audiences. Conduct various ad hoc analytical projects in close cooperation with groups inside and outside the company.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to work with Eclipse and Petrel RE applications. Presentation skill and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Educational Background:
Higher National Diploma, BSc/BA, Master’s or PhD Degree
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of practical reservoir engineering and field development studies
