Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results driven BDM (Commercial Lighting Systems) to lead sales initiatives and grow our lighting solutions business.
Duties and Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and retail lighting sectors. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market growth targets. Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including contractors, consultants, facility managers, architects, and developers. Manage key accounts and ensure excellent customer experience from inquiry to project delivery. Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate lighting solutions. Understand customer requirements and translate them into tailored lighting solutions. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to prepare lighting layouts, product specifications, and technical submissions. Provide technical guidance on energy efficient lighting, lighting controls, and smart lighting technologies. Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and emerging technologies in commercial lighting. Identify product gaps and recommend new product opportunities to management. Support marketing efforts with insights and participate in industry events or trade shows. Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and client activity reports. Ensure all project documentation, quotations, and contracts are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, logistics) to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Professional training or certification in lighting systems is an added advantage.

Experience: 5–7 years proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the lighting industry, electrical solutions, construction materials, or building technologies. Strong track record of generating new business and managing large commercial projects. Experience working with LED lighting, smart lighting controls, and industrial/commercial lighting systems.
Additional Notes: Strong technical understanding of lighting products, specifications, and standards. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret lighting layouts, BOQs, and electrical drawings. Highly proactive, target driven, and able to work independently. Strong customer service orientation and problem solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) is an advantage.
