Job Description
Job Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in Yola. The Accountant will handle daily financial transactions, prepare financial statements, manage budgets, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities include analyzing financial data, supporting strategic financial planning, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing tax returns. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to support fiscal efficiency and organizational success.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, budget management, and financial reporting. Strong skills in accounting software applications and spreadsheet management. Solid understanding of tax compliance, auditing procedures, and regulatory requirements. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
