Job Description
Job Overview:
The Head, Pension and Annuity Marketing is responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and market expansion for the company’s pension and annuity products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for pension and annuity products. Drive growth in Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs), annuity uptake, and related retirement products. Lead and manage the marketing team to achieve business development and revenue targets. Build and maintain relationships with corporate organizations, trustees, agents, and institutional clients. Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the client base. Collaborate with operations, compliance, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates (e.g., PenCom guidelines in Nigeria). Oversee proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations. Track and report on key performance indicators such as contribution inflows, annuity growth, and retention rates. Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards. Represent the company at industry events, retirement planning seminars, and strategic engagements.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIIN (Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria) or pension-related certifications is highly desirable. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in insurance marketing or business development. At least 2 years in a senior level or leadership role within pension or insurance business. Proven track record of achieving growth in pension contributions or annuity sales.

Additional Notes:
Strong knowledge of pension regulations and annuity products. In-depth understanding of retirement planning and long-term financial products. Excellent sales, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and performance data. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
