Job Description
Job Overview:
The Electrical Design Engineer (Panel Business) will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical control panels and systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical control panels (e.g., LV/MV panels, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards) in line with project specifications and client requirements. Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and panel layouts using relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN). Interpret technical specifications, tender documents, and BOQs to produce accurate and competitive design solutions. Select and size electrical components (circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, drives, busbars) based on technical and safety requirements. Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards (e.g., IEC) and safety regulations. Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Project teams to align technical designs with commercial and project needs. Support production/assembly teams with technical clarifications and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.

Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, specifically within panel manufacturing or industrial environments. Proven experience designing electrical panels (MCC, PCC, or similar control panels). Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN). Solid understanding of electrical systems, protection schemes, and control circuits. Working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., IEC) and electrical safety regulations. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents accurately.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, specifically within panel manufacturing or industrial environments.
