Job Overview: ECS is seeking a highly experienced Coldroom Technical Lead to spearhead the entire lifecycle of coldroom projects, from initial design and proposal through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing lifecycle management.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead coldroom projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to quality standards. Conduct site assessments, develop robust solution designs, and lead technical scoping, validating cooling load calculations and standardizing designs. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth transitions and high satisfaction. Oversee installation, commissioning, and client sign-off, troubleshooting complex technical issues as they arise. Implement effective preventive maintenance systems to ensure optimal system performance and uptime. Mentor and develop technicians and engineers, building internal expertise and reducing third-party reliance. Provide technical input for procurement, contributing to costing, pricing, and cost optimization efforts.
Required Qualifications: 10–12+ years of progressive experience in refrigeration and coldroom systems. Proven track record of managing end-to-end coldroom projects. Strong background in system design, installation, and commissioning. Expertise in cooling load calculations. In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems and components. Proficiency in electrical and control systems.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 10–12+ years of progressive experience in refrigeration and coldroom systems.
Additional Notes: Experience within the FMCG, cold chain, or industrial refrigeration sectors. Key skills include technical expertise & problem-solving, project execution & delivery, client and stakeholder management, leadership & team development, and commercial awareness.
