Job Description
Job Overview:
A Data Entry Clerk plays a vital administrative role by ensuring that information is properly recorded, organized, and accessible. The position involves entering data from various sources (such as paper documents, forms, or digital files) into databases or software systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares source documents for computer entry by compiling and sorting information and establishing entry priorities. Processes beneficiaries' source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the program officers for resolution. Enters beneficiary’s data into the NOMIS database and all other project-specific management information system templates. Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures. Verifies entered beneficiaries data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; comparing data from both source documents and NOMIS when beneficiaries information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data. Secures information by completing database backups. Maintains data operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Maintains beneficiary’s confidence and protects data operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of OND, NCE, and the School of Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics. Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a similar role or as a volunteer in a Non-Governmental Organization. Fluency in the spoken and written English language. Computer literacy is a MUST, especially the use of Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Competency in data management and data analysis (charts, graphs). Familiarity with the local context is an added advantage. Experience in community mobilization, monitoring and supervision, and data quality assessment (DQA). Experience in data entry on NOMIS is an added advantage.

Educational Background:
Minimum of OND, NCE, and the School of Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a similar role or as a volunteer in a Non-Governmental Organization

Languages:
Fluency in the spoken and written English language

Additional Notes:
