Volunteer Community Manager

Job Overview:
Crescent Vitalis is a community founded by and for sickle cell warriors to raise awareness, drive advocacy, and offer tangible support. It serves as a unified platform where patients, allies, and advocates come together to challenge stigmas, empower individuals, and honor the memory of those impacted by sickle cell disease.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Moderating online forums, planning and coordinating virtual events, fostering meaningful connections among community members, and amplifying awareness through social media and other communication channels.

Required Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to build relationships within a diverse community; experience in social media management and online community engagement; strong communication, content creation, and storytelling abilities; skills in event planning, coordination, and outreach; passion for advocacy and fostering inclusivity within marginalized communities; organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting; familiarity with sickle cell disease and its impact on individuals and families is a plus.
