Job Overview: We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead one of Joveo's product engineering teams — building the people, the process, and the technical foundation that enables sustained, high-quality delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback. Own team delivery — planning, execution, quality, and retrospectives. Partner with product managers to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities. Drive technical excellence — code quality, system design, and engineering standards. Hire exceptional engineers and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture. Represent your team's work and needs in cross-functional leadership discussions.
Required Qualifications: Experience managing software engineering teams in a technology company. Strong technical background — ability to engage meaningfully in architecture and code reviews. Track record of growing engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development. Excellent written and verbal communication for distributed, async team environments. Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning, and engineering metrics. Ability to balance technical debt, velocity, and quality trade-offs at a team level.
