Job Description
Job Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Python Developer to own the backend services and data pipelines that power Joveo's AI-driven hiring platform at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Architect and build production Python services handling high-throughput workloads; Lead design reviews and define engineering standards for Python codebases; Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend initiatives across multiple sprints; Mentor mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance; Drive technical debt reduction and long-term platform health initiatives; Collaborate with ML and data teams to productionize AI-powered features.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience building production Python systems at scale; Deep expertise with modern Python frameworks — FastAPI, Django, or Flask; Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and query performance; Experience with distributed systems, async processing, and message queues; Proven track record of mentoring engineers and raising team code quality; Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and containerized deployments.
