Duties and Responsibilities: Define and execute comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and revenue targets. Lead go-to-market planning for beta launch, full market launch, and subsequent expansion phases. Own user acquisition targets, revenue goals, and marketing P&L accountability. Develop multi-year brand and growth roadmap to establish market leadership. Provide marketing insights that inform product strategy and business decisions. Contribute to overall company strategy as part of executive leadership team. Build and scale user acquisition engine across digital and offline channels. Drive aggressive but efficient growth hitting user acquisition and revenue targets. Develop sophisticated growth models, forecasting, and scenario planning. Optimize unit economics (CAC, LTV) and establish sustainable growth frameworks. Build referral programs, partnerships, and viral mechanics to reduce acquisition costs. Implement retention and monetization strategies to maximize customer lifetime value. Establish 247bet as a differentiated, trusted brand in the Nigerian gaming market. Develop brand architecture, positioning, messaging, and creative strategy. Lead major brand campaigns, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities. Build public relations strategy and manage media relationships. Represent company at industry events, conferences, and media appearances. Shape corporate communications and thought leadership initiatives. Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization (targeting 10-15 person team). Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional marketing talent across disciplines. Establish marketing operations, processes, KPIs, and reporting frameworks. Create culture of experimentation, data-driven decision making, and accountability. Manage team across brand, performance marketing, content, creative, PR, and partnerships. Develop direct reports into future marketing leaders. Partner with Product to ensure user insights drive product development. Collaborate with Sales/Partnerships on B2B opportunities and strategic alliances. Work with Legal/Compliance to navigate regulatory requirements for gaming advertising. Support fundraising efforts with investor materials and growth narratives. Coordinate with Engineering on data infrastructure and marketing technology. Monitor competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation. Conduct market research to understand user behavior, preferences, and trends. Track regulatory environment and ensure compliance with advertising standards. Identify new market opportunities and expansion possibilities.
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of marketing experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Head of Marketing, VP, SVP, CMO). Proven track record scaling consumer brands or apps from early stage to significant scale. Deep expertise across brand building, performance marketing, growth, and analytics. Experience managing marketing P&L and delivering against aggressive growth targets. Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in growth metrics, cohort analysis, and forecasting. Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing marketing teams (15+ people). Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into executable plans. Outstanding communication skills and executive presence. Experience with consumer apps, digital products, or marketplace businesses. Track record working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Experience: Highly Valued: Experience in gaming, betting, fintech, or other regulated consumer industries in Nigeria or Africa. Knowledge of Nigerian gaming regulations and advertising compliance requirements. Experience launching and scaling products in emerging markets. Background at venture-backed startups through multiple funding stages. Network of relationships with media, influencers, agencies, and partners across Nigeria. Experience with community-building and social product strategies. Track record contributing to successful fundraising efforts. Experience managing large marketing budgets ($1M+).
