Job Overview:
Specialists Alliance Limited is recruiting on behalf of a leading IT company and a telecommunications company in Nigeria for the position of Hardware Engineer. We seek a skilled and experienced professional with hands-on expertise in enterprise hardware systems from Oracle Corporation, Dell Technologies, HP Inc., or IBM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware systems, servers, storage devices, and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, system failures, and performance issues. Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on IT equipment. Support data center infrastructure, racks, cabling, UPS systems, and hardware upgrades. Perform hardware replacement, repairs, and warranty coordination with OEM vendors. Monitor hardware health and ensure optimal system uptime. Collaborate with software, network, and operations teams for integrated solutions. Maintain asset inventory, documentation, and service reports. Ensure compliance with safety, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and operational procedures. Provide on-site technical support to business users and clients.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Hardware Engineer or similar role. Strong hands-on experience with hardware products from Oracle Corporation, Dell Technologies, HP Inc., or IBM. Experience with servers, storage systems, workstations, blade systems, and networking devices. Knowledge of data center operations and structured cabling. Ability to troubleshoot motherboard, RAM, disk, RAID, PSU, and firmware issues. Relevant certifications (Dell, HP, IBM, Oracle, CompTIA A+, Server+, etc.) will be an advantage. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Hardware Engineer or similar role.
