Job Description
Job Overview:
Metrospace Construction and Real Estate is a leading construction company in Lagos, delivering high-quality building and infrastructure projects across residential and commercial sectors. We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive quantity surveyor to join our growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets; Monitor and control project costs to ensure budget compliance; Prepare tender and contract documents and evaluate contractor bids; Manage variations, claims, and payment valuations; Conduct cost analysis and support value engineering initiatives; Track project progress and provide financial reporting; Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers; Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying (building construction); Strong knowledge of construction cost management and procurement; Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills; Proficiency in MS Excel (QS software is an added advantage); High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
Educational Background:
Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
Experience:
3–5 years in the construction industry
Languages:
English
