Humanitarian Strategic Analyst - Africa (French & English speaker)
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Humanitarian Strategic Analyst will provide context-specific strategic analysis to support humanitarian decision-makers at all levels of the organization, particularly during significant contextual changes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct context and foresight analysis, develop scenarios for response decision-making, provide capacity building on risk identification, support internal processes with bespoke analysis, and contribute to humanitarian advocacy initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, strong communication skills in English and French, understanding of geopolitical dynamics, and ability to craft strategic recommendations.
Educational Background:
A degree in Political Science, International Relations, Conflict Studies, or a related field.
Experience:
Significant professional experience in the humanitarian sector with a focus on crisis contexts and conflict-sensitive programming.
Languages:
Fluency in English and French; additional language of Arabic or Spanish preferred.
Additional Notes:
The successful candidate must possess the unrestricted right to work in an approved SCI location in Africa for the duration of the employment.
