Humanitarian Strategic Analyst - Africa (French & English speaker)

Job Overview:
The Humanitarian Strategic Analyst will provide context-specific strategic analysis to support humanitarian decision-makers at all levels of the organization, particularly during significant contextual changes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct context and foresight analysis, develop scenarios for response decision-making, provide capacity building on risk identification, support internal processes with bespoke analysis, collaborate across teams to address contextual information gaps, contribute to global reports, support humanitarian advocacy initiatives, and engage with external partners.

Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, strong communication skills in English and French, understanding of geopolitical dynamics, expertise in risk assessments, and ability to craft strategic recommendations.

Educational Background:
A degree in Political Science, International Relations, Conflict Studies, or a related field.

Experience:
Significant professional experience in the humanitarian sector with a focus on crisis contexts and conflict-sensitive programming.

Languages:
Fluency in English and French; additional language of Arabic or Spanish preferred.

Additional Notes:
The successful candidate must possess the unrestricted right to work in an approved SCI location in Africa for the duration of the employment. International travel may be required up to 40%.
