Job Overview: A leading Nigerian investment and wealth management firm is hiring a Tech and Automation Intern to support the Tech Team in delivering efficient IT operations and identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve workflows. The role offers hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, business systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide first-level support for IT service requests and user issues, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems, support system maintenance, backups, and routine IT operations, maintain logs of incidents, resolutions, and service requests, identify repetitive manual processes and recommend automation opportunities, build and maintain simple automation workflows (Zapier, Power Automate, scripts), support integration between business tools and systems, document automation processes and workflows, assist with user account creation, updates, password resets, and deactivations, support IT change management processes and system updates, help implement basic access controls and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security best practices, assist in managing domains, DNS records, and website updates, track IT assets, subscriptions, and software licenses, support basic network monitoring and system performance checks, develop simple reports and dashboards for IT and business teams, analyse system usage, IT performance, and service trends, create and maintain IT documentation, guides, and SOPs, support cybersecurity awareness initiatives, work with Funds, Wealth, Finance, and Operations teams to translate business needs into technical or automation solutions.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, or technical support, interest in data analysis, process improvement, and technology-driven solutions, basic knowledge of automation tools (Zapier, Power Automate), familiarity with Excel and Power BI (SQL a plus), basic understanding of APIs and integrations an advantage, strong communication and organisational skills.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience: Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, or technical support
Languages: English
