Head of Procurement

Job Overview:
ECS Group is a multi-vertical company supplying critical infrastructure to Nigeria's food and industrial sectors. We are hiring a Head of Procurement to transform how we buy — cutting costs, building a world-class vendor network, and eliminating the supply gaps that slow us down.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Management & Negotiation: Audit and evaluate all current vendors, renegotiate pricing and terms, identify alternate suppliers, build a vetted vendor network, establish vendor performance metrics. 2. Process Improvement: Investigate and document current procurement processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, design and implement improved processes, establish a standardized vendor approval system. 3. Inventory Management: Establish optimal inventory levels, eliminate stockouts, prevent excess inventory, align purchasing with consumption and production schedules, build visibility and tracking of all inputs.

Required Qualifications:
8 - 15 years in a procurement, supply chain, or purchasing leadership role, proven track record of cost savings through vendor negotiation, experience managing procurement across multiple categories, strong vendor management skills, experience coordinating external service vendors.
