Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive, target driven and field-oriented professional to manage the registration, promotion, sales and market development of a new pharmaceutical product.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Product Registration & Compliance: Assist in regulatory registration processes with relevant authorities (e.g., NAFDAC). Coordinate documentation, submissions, and follow-ups for product approval. Ensure compliance with local pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines. 2. Hospital & Doctor Engagement: Visit hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions regularly. Meet doctors and healthcare professionals to introduce and explain the product. Deliver professional product presentations and medical detailing. Organize and coordinate promotional activities (including sponsored meetings/lunch discussions where appropriate and compliant). 3. Pharmacy & Distributor Coordination: Engage with pharmacies to ensure product availability, visibility sales conversion. Build relationships with distributors and ensure smooth supply chain flow. Monitor stock levels and coordinate reorders with relevant partners. 4. Marketing & Promotion: Execute marketing strategies to launch and grow the product in the market. Conduct product awareness campaigns and field promotions. Identify opportunities for market expansion. 5. Market Feedback & Reporting: Collect feedback from doctors, pharmacists, and distributors. Track competitor products and market trends. Prepare regular reports on field activities, sales performance, and insights. 6. Sales & Territory Coverage: Achieve sales targets by actively promoting and selling the product across assigned territories. Travel extensively across all regions of Nigeria, including major cities and rural areas, to maximize product reach and market penetration. Identify and develop new sales opportunities in untapped markets and underserved regions nationwide. Build and maintain a strong customer base by regularly visiting healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals, and distributors across different states. Coordinate with regional distributors to ensure nationwide availability and timely delivery of the product. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and territory coverage.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field. 2–3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales/marketing (must). Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals. Willingness to travel frequently for fieldwork. Basic understanding of pharmaceutical regulations in Nigeria is an advantage.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field.
Experience: 2–3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales/marketing (must).
Languages: Strong communication skills in English.
Additional Notes: Willingness to travel frequently for fieldwork.
