Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced engineer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Civil Engineer Consultant – Contracts Assurance to provide independent oversight on heavy industrial infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on piling, foundations, and structural works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and verify piling, deep foundations, and ground engineering works
• Assess contractor compliance with designs, specifications, and method statements
• Conduct site inspections to validate quality, progress, and structural integrity
• Review geotechnical reports, pile load tests, and foundation calculations
• Identify risks related to:
o Ground conditions
o Foundation design and execution
o Structural performance
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, ASTM)
• Provide independent reports on:
o Contractor performance
o Technical deviations
o Quality and compliance issues
• Support resolution of technical disputes and construction challenges
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s in Geotechnical/Structural is an advantage)
Educational Background:
• 13–20+ years experience in:
o Civil engineering construction or supervision
o Heavy industrial or infrastructure projects
Experience:
• Strong experience in:
o Piling systems (bored piles, driven piles, CFA, etc.)
o Deep foundations and ground engineering
o Reinforced concrete and structural works
• Experience on projects such as:
o Industrial plants
o Oil & gas facilities
o Ports / marine infrastructure
o Large infrastructure developments
Languages:
English
Additional Notes:
Preferred Certifications:
• COREN / PE / Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Membership of recognized bodies (NSE, ICE, ASCE)
• PMP, ISO 9001 Auditor, NEBOSH / IOSH (advantage)

• Strong technical authority in foundations and structural systems
• Ability to independently verify and challenge contractor work
• Deep understanding of construction methods and geotechnical risks
• Strong inspection, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
