Job Description
Job Overview:
The MEAL Officer will ensure the program’s effectiveness through the design, implementation, and management of a robust MEAL system that aligns with international standards, contributing to program improvement and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop MEAL plans, conduct monitoring visits, lead data collection, analyze data, document findings, support accountability mechanisms, engage in program learning, and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of BSc or equivalent qualification in relevant fields such as Economics, Statistics, or Social Work.
Educational Background:
BSc or equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Development Planning, Social Work, Demography, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in MEAL for humanitarian/developmental organizations, with experience in Health and Nutrition programs as an advantage.
Languages:
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; good knowledge of local area and local language is preferred.
Additional Notes:
The role requires compliance with SCI policies on child protection, equal opportunities, and health and safety.
