Job Overview: The Project Officer – Food Assistance will support the coordination and implementation of food assistance activities, ensuring best practices and improving impact for the poor and vulnerable.
Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate food assistance activities, support vendor procurement and price negotiations, act as focal point for field-level coordination, support partner officers, participate in coordination meetings, provide support to project vendors, review partner reports, and collect human-interest stories.
Required Qualifications: Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office, strong relationship management skills, attention to detail, proactive and results-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in community engagement in NE Nigeria, understanding of cultural and social dynamics, experience in group discussions, and private sector engagement is desirable.
Additional Notes: Must be willing to travel about 70% of the time.
