Field Engineer - WASH Infrastructure
Job Description
Job Overview:
This will be a hands-on field engineer position, with Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilization experience. S/he will be accountable for the technical contributions to WASH Infrastructure programming and construction project activities within the framework of the Sokoto emergency response program in the North East.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead elements of WASH programming, including planning, designing, development, implementation, monitoring. Supervise field-level WASH infrastructure works, oversee drafting of technical specifications, support trainings for Community WASH Focal Points, conduct hygiene promotion sessions, coordinate with partners and community leaders, document success stories, and ensure protection principles are integrated during activity design and implementation.
Required Qualifications:
Experience engaging with and providing capacity strengthening of partner organizations, knowledge of Sphere standards, proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering design software, effective interpersonal skills, demonstrated integrity and professionalism, good time management skills, strong customer service orientation, proactive and results-oriented.
Languages:
Required: English, Hausa; Preferred: Kanuri
Additional Notes:
Must be willing to travel up to 50% and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
