Job Description
Job Overview:
Lotus Capital Limited is a full-service ethical investment management company specializing in Asset Management, Private Wealth Management, and Financial Advisory services. Lotus Capital is a pioneer in non-interest finance in Nigeria and duly registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) as Fund Managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor macroeconomic trends (inflation, interest rates, FX, GDP), track developments in financial markets (equities, fixed income, commodities), prepare periodic market updates and economic outlook reports, conduct fundamental analysis of listed companies (financial statements, ratios, valuation), build and maintain financial models, analyze industry trends and competitive positioning, support portfolio managers with data, research, and analysis, monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics, collect, clean, and analyze financial and market data, maintain research databases and trade logs, prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal use, ensure all research and trade documentation meets internal policies and regulatory standards, maintain proper audit trails for all investment decisions, support compliance reviews and internal audits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Progress toward CFA (Level I) is an advantage; Basic understanding of portfolio management and financial markets.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Progress toward CFA (Level I) is an advantage.
Experience:
Basic understanding of portfolio management and financial markets.
Languages:
Good written communication
Additional Notes:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, basic financial modeling and valuation knowledge, high attention to detail, strong Excel and data management skills, understanding of financial instruments and markets, strong sense of accountability and organization.
