Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to handle sourcing, purchasing, vendor relations, and basic inventory coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Procurement & Vendor Management: Source and evaluate suppliers to secure quality materials at competitive prices; Prepare purchase orders and follow up on delivery timelines; Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company procurement standards; Conduct market research to identify cost-saving and quality-improvement opportunities; Verify supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation of all purchases. 2. Inventory & Supply Coordination: Work with relevant departments to understand material needs and ensure timely replenishment; Oversee the receiving of goods by confirming quantity, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders; Maintain updated records of incoming and outgoing supplies in line with company procedures; Track stock levels and provide timely alerts when items approach reorder points; Support periodic inventory checks and help reconcile any stock discrepancies; Ensure safe, organized, and efficient handling of materials to support smooth operations. 3. Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate and systematic records of all procurement and stock-related transactions; Prepare periodic procurement and inventory status reports for management; Ensure compliance with internal control processes and audit requirements; Maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity in all procurement activities. 4. Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with operations, accounts, administration, and logistics teams; Support internal requisitions and departmental supply needs promptly; Participate in planning discussions related to material consumption and future stock needs.
Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Accounting, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 2–3 years experience in procurement or related roles with inventory coordination exposure. 3. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory management tools. 5. Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills. 6. High integrity, discipline, and ability to maintain proper documentation. 7. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years experience in procurement or related roles with inventory coordination exposure.
