Job Overview: The Project Officer – Food Assistance will support the coordination and implementation of food assistance activities, ensuring best practices and improving impact for beneficiaries.
Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate food assistance activities, support vendor procurement and price negotiations, act as focal point for field-level coordination, support partner officers, participate in coordination meetings, provide support to project vendors, review partner reports, and collect human-interest stories.
Required Qualifications: Proficient in MS Office, strong relationship management skills, attention to detail, proactive and results-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, humanities, agricultural sciences, or relevant equivalent degree.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
Additional Notes: Must be willing to travel about 70% of the time.
