Job Description
Job Overview:
This will be a hands-on field engineer position, with Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilization experience. S/he will be accountable for the technical contributions to WASH Infrastructure programming and construction project activities within the framework of the Sokoto emergency response program in the North East.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead elements of WASH programming, including planning, designing, development, implementation, and monitoring. Supervise field-level WASH infrastructure works, oversee drafting of technical specifications, conduct hygiene promotion sessions, mentor local committees, and coordinate with partners and community leaders.

Required Qualifications:
Experience engaging with and providing capacity strengthening of partner organizations. Knowledge of Sphere standards related to Shelter and WASH Sectors. Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering design software. Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated integrity.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Hydrogeology, or equivalent field experience. Professional license is a plus.

Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience in water supply and sanitation project supervision or construction management, preferably in the humanitarian sector.

Languages:
Required Languages: English, Hausa. Hausa and Kanuri languages are an added advantage.

Additional Notes:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%. Strong customer service orientation with good communication and interpersonal skills.
