Job Description
Job Overview:
The Loan Officer is responsible for originating, evaluating, and managing loan opportunities, focusing on structured lending solutions such as LPO financing and invoice discounting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Loan Origination & Business Development: Identify and source viable loan opportunities across SMEs, corporates, and high-value clients; Structure lending solutions including LPO financing and invoice discounting; Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified borrowers; Develop strategic partnerships and referral networks. 2. Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment: Conduct detailed financial analysis and credit evaluations; Assess borrower risk, repayment capacity, and transaction viability; Prepare credit memos and loan proposals for internal approval; Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards. 3. Client Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders; Provide advisory support on financing options and structuring; Ensure excellent client experience throughout the loan lifecycle. 4. Loan Processing & Disbursement: Oversee loan application documentation and due diligence; Coordinate with credit and operations teams for efficient processing; Ensure timely and accurate loan disbursement. 5. Portfolio Monitoring & Performance: Monitor loan performance and repayment behavior; Identify early warning signals and implement risk mitigation strategies; Maintain portfolio quality and minimize non-performing loans.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field; Minimum of 5 years’ experience in lending, credit analysis, or financial services; Strong knowledge of LPO financing, invoice discounting, and high-value (₦100M+) transactions; Proven track record in loan origination and portfolio management; Proficiency in financial modeling and credit risk assessment.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in lending, credit analysis, or financial services

Results-driven and target-oriented; Demonstrates strong commercial judgment; Experienced in handling high-ticket transactions; Proactive, with a strong network in the financial or SME ecosystem; High integrity and professionalism.
