Job Description
Job Overview:
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals for the position of Research Associate- Lab Support & Research at the Institute's Headquarters in Ibadan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include sample management and traceability, laboratory analyses and protocol implementation, sensory evaluation and panel coordination, sample preparation and external shipment, and data management, reporting, and coordination.
Required Qualifications:
BSC/HND in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or any other related field, with a minimum of six (6) years’ or MSc with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well structured environment. Training in sensory analysis, laboratory quality systems, or ISO standards is required.
Educational Background:
BSC/HND in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or any other related field.
Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years’ experience for BSC/HND or four (4) years’ experience for MSc in a similar role.
Languages:
English

The ideal candidate must have technical knowledge and strong understanding of food quality analysis and laboratory procedures, ability to manage datasets, high accuracy in sample handling, and strong planning and time management skills.
