Job Overview:
AFRITROPIC FARMING AND AGRO SERVICES LTD is a multidimensional agricultural company dedicated to delivering top-quality farming solutions and products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and design farm-to-market roads, drainage systems, and specialized agricultural structures (warehouses, processing plants, and greenhouses). Develop and optimize irrigation systems and water storage solutions (dams, reservoirs, and boreholes) to ensure year-round production. Supervise on-site construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to safety standards. Conduct soil analysis and topographical surveys to determine the feasibility of new farming plots or facility expansions. Implement eco-friendly building practices and waste management systems that align with our 'green growth' mission. Liaise with contractors, local authorities, and equipment suppliers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3–5+ years of experience, preferably with exposure to rural development, heavy grading, or industrial construction.
Languages:
Not specified
Additional Notes:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software. Comfortable splitting time between a professional office environment and active field sites in varied weather conditions. Ability to find cost-effective engineering solutions in remote locations where resources might be limited.
