Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Risk Analyst. This role sits within the Enterprise Risk function (Risk Analytics & Assurance), providing independent risk intelligence to support capital, liquidity, and credit decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities: Produce sector and industry research to inform credit policy, risk appetite, and portfolio allocation decisions. Develop and maintain ECL model methodology, including IFRS 9 staging, PD/LGD assumptions, and model documentation. Build and run ICAAP and ILAAP models, supporting capital and liquidity adequacy assessments. Provide market commentary on macroeconomic developments and their impact on portfolio risk and strategy. Conduct independent rating reviews for large exposures and escalate rating differences to MCC. Maintain the enterprise Risk Register and KRI dashboard, tracking trends and flagging threshold breaches. Design and execute stress testing and scenario analysis across credit, liquidity, and operational risk areas. Support RCSA processes and perform targeted second-line control testing.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline. ~2 years’ experience in risk analysis, credit research, or financial modelling within a structured environment. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (Excel-based analysis and scenario modelling). Knowledge of IFRS 9 (ECL framework), credit risk fundamentals, and macroeconomic analysis. Ability to produce structured analytical reports for internal and committee-level audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline
Experience: ~2 years’ experience in risk analysis, credit research, or financial modelling within a structured environment
Languages: Proficiency in English
